Life Happens

So I have been getting a little bit of crap lately because I haven’t updated my blog since October. I have been super busy with work and school; I haven’t even been able to think the last couple of months. I will try to update you on all the happenings in my life since my last post. October wasn’t too exciting I just worked and tried to stay caught up with all my school assignments and such. During the month of November I spent three weeks out in Eagle Mountain doing my practicum teaching in a 5th grade class. I was really nervous to teach the 5th grade but I absolutely loved the students. I have always thought I wanted to teach the younger grades but after this I could really teach any grade and be happy. It was a lot of work and kept me extremely busy, but I loved every second of it and I actually miss the kids a ton. During these three weeks I spent time observing and then time teaching Social Studies and Art, we did a Cornucopia art project which turned out really cute. Like I said I was super busy during this time but I loved every second of it and I know for sure now that this really the career I want. As soon as my student teaching was done Thanksgiving was already here. We didn’t do anything too exciting for Thanksgiving but hang out with the family, play games and of course I did homework. I had a bunch of huge projects due the first couple of days back from thanksgiving. As soon as thanksgiving was over it was already December. I have spent the last three weeks doing homework nonstop. Here is just a little glimpse of my schedule work from 8:00-2:00, school from 3:00-7:00 and homework from 7:00-to whenever I couldn’t concentrate anymore. I did this for three weeks straight. Last Thursday was my last final and it was probably one of the most exciting days of my life! I had some struggles with some teachers but I survived and I am finally DONE! For the first time in two months I had free time except this last weekend I spent Christmas shopping because I hadn’t done that yet. I am finally caught up and now I just have to work for three days and then it is Christmas no work and no school for five days. That is the best present ever! My life isn’t too exciting but definitely busy, I love it though.

Update

I haven't been very good about updating my blog, school and work are definitely keeping me more than busy. I thought now was as good a time as any to give people an update! In August I moved to Provo and I love it! It is nice to not commute so far and it is nice to be back in a social environment. My ward is great and my roommate and I are the bulletin board people which means we are in charge of making the bulletin board beautiful :D. (I swear that is the best calling ever) I am working at OrangeSoda still and they keep me plenty busy there, but I love it and they are awesome about working with my school schedule. I work there in the morning and go to school in the afternoons. It is tough being gone all day but I know it will be worth it. I just started the the Elementary Education program and love it but it keeps me busy. Other than working, school, and homework I don't have much more exciting things to report!

Breaking Dawn

I have to admit I have been really excited about the release of this book since I finished Eclipse last summer. My friend even talked me into going the Midnight release party at Barnes & Noble. The store was hosting a party and had a costume contest. We were there for over 3 hours, and then we stood in line outside for about 45 minutes waiting for this book. I was determined to stay up all night and read the book but....by the time I got home I was too tired. I decided to wait and get started reading on Saturday. As I started reading I was excited about the direction the book was headed. Edward & Bella finally tied the knot! (Ok so I already knew that because of an article I read on Entertainment Weekly). After getting into the book a little bit I was starting to become weirded out. In the other three books I thought that Stephenie Meyer did a great job at making you feel that vampires we just a normal part of life. This time I think she may have went a little overboard with the story, at times I wanted to stop reading because it was just soooooo weird, but of course curiosity got the best of me and I had to keep reading to find out if it could get any more bizarre. I continued reading and have decided that the second half was better than the first, (I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't read it yet). It does get better but I was still sorely disappointed in the end to this amazing saga. As for me I think I will stick with the first three and pretend that everything just ends with Eclipse. But of course I will let you be the judge!

Warning

If you couldn't tell from the picture I am a little more than stressed right now! Work has defiantly kept me plenty busy over the last couple of weeks, and school is kicking my trash lately. If I could just do one or the other I think I would be okay but doing both defiantly can be stressful. Don't get me wrong I love my job and I love the opportunity I have to go to school but sometimes it is just too much! The plus side is that I only have 2 1/2 weeks left of school & then I get to actually have two weeks of SUMMER before fall semester starts!

So I have to admit I am nervous to see the Twilight Movie that comes out in December, but of course I love the books so at the same time I am way excited! I love this series just like every other girl! I know, I know... We are all obssessed. (Tell me something I don't know please!)

Anyway, I just saw the cover of Entertainment Weekly on Stephenie Meyer's Website .

Happy Birthday America!

I love the 4th of July, I am so grateful to live in a place where I am free to live as I choose. Happy Birthday America!

Whatcha Upto?

I thought I would give you all a little update with the happenings of my life at the moment. I am currently living at home with my family and working "full time" (39 hrs) at OrangeSoda. I have the best job ever, I love it there I couldn't ask for better job while going to school; they work with my schedule and I have awesome co-workers/friends. Our office was located in Orem but OrangeSoda is growing so fast they decided it was time to move to a bigger building, we have known about this move for months now but finally last Friday we moved to our new office in American Fork! We now actually have our own cubicle space, but I think none of us know what to do with this new found freedom!
Along with working my summer away I have also been taking a couple of classes at UVSC which as of July 1st is now UVU. I finished my LAST general class in June, and just have one more pre-requisite class for my program which is currently in progress. I have been accepted into the Elementary Education program for this upcoming fall and I am super excited to start my professional classes!
Like I said I am currently living at home with my family and it has been great, I am attending a singles ward in this area and have made some good friends. I have gone almost a year with out people knowing my secret but now it has been exposed! Everyone in my ward now knows I play the piano and I have now played in Sacrament meeting, Relief Society, and I just got called today to play at a baptism. At first I was not so excited to have everyone know but it has been a good experience for me and I am finally not so nervous to play while people sing. Currently I am relief society teacher and I have to admit that every time I think of teaching I almost have a panic attack, oh well only a few more months. I am moving to Provo this fall and hopefully they will give me a new calling:D. I have been thinking about moving closer to school for awhile now and I was talking to a few friends of mine from Snow College and I decided I am going to live with them this fall at Raintree Commons. It is a little bit farther from school than I originally wanted but at least I will know my roommates and it will be fun to be back in the student housing (I need the social life)!
That is about the extent of my life at the moment and I will try and keep you updated!

My Blog

Everyone I know has a cute blog and I knew I had to create one and soon if I wanted to even try and compete in this now digital world, so this here is my attempt at a blog. I will try(I can't make any guarantees) to post often and let everyone know what I am up to!
